Machine Gun Keyboard (can’t say I fancy the name, but anyway) doesn’t like LOL POLs. My recommendation for him/her is to not click the link. If such light-hearted silliness does not appeal then not browsing those pages is probably the most appropriate thing to do.

Maybe if you chaps formulated some solid, viable policy rather than wasting your time with LOLiticians, you would start getting votes from those with half a brain rather than the <25 diploma of arts students who currently make up your voter base.

Martin, I’d really encourage you to look around the rest of the blog and you’ll find an array of policy ideas to stimulate your interest. I’m sure our million or so voters, many of whom have multiple tertiary degrees, will be interested to see that you think they have half a brain.
Might I take this opportunity as well to point you and others to our comments policy. We do not appreciate abuse here, and I have sadly had to remove a few abusive comments for the first time today. Any constructive criticism, however, is most welcome, as you will see if you trawl the other comments threads.
I would appreciate it if my email could be removed from display - the submission form notes it as “hidden” but it clearly isn’t. That or just delete my post, either way I am already getting emails from people who have an issue with my opinion

I thought I would have a quick look at the rest of the blog… On the first page I see Lolpoliticians, childish protesting, Lolpoliticians, more protesting, comics… I’ll be honest, it is a bit hard to take the blog seriously but then again maybe it is just me.
I think I’ll leave it at that - discussing opposing political views on a political website is a waste of both our time
Martin, it is just you mate. Lighten up. Nothing wrong with having a bit of fun in an otherwise dull and predictably bland campaign so far.

oh please Martin, you’re not even trying, as I presume you are competent enough to use the scroll function on your computer? Or the link button? Because apparently you’re not able to spot “looking over the site” as you claim a serious post from Senator Siewart on Howard’s sudden conversion on Aboriginal Reconciliation, Christine Milne’s post on the Exclusive Brethren, and numerous links and previous posts on issues such as climate change.
Methinks you’re a bit of a git.
@gam: I think my attempt predates your effort by a month. Mine was posted on the 27th of May. I guess it was inevitable really. A collision in the zeitgeist.

These are so lame. Talk about the mainstream establishment trying to jump on the bandwagon. Looks like the editor hijacked something that is funny and tried to create their own and failed miserably in the process.

@gam and Mark, no claim to be first here. In fact my original inspiration was those couple of LOL cats I linked to in comment 9, as well as LOL Presidents.
I’m a little saddened by the posts who have simply a negative comment about the LOL POLs shenanigans. If posters don’t care for them, they might be more interested in looking over the large amount of serious political material available here. You are allowed to NOT click the link, folks.
