I was rather disappointed to see the coverage of the CSIRO’s latest climate change summary for Australia begin to be cast as ‘climate change is inevitable‘. I’m not sure, but I think I even heard CSIRO’s Dr Penny Whetton use the word on ABC’s PM.

The big problem with the latest drought assistance package is that it lacks vision. What we really need is a strategy to make the transition to a productive and sustainable agriculture in a changing and uncertain climate.
